TESTIMONIAL I wanted to personally thank you for all the help you gave us in preparing for our first big fundraising event. Although St. Michael’s is over 114 years old, they have never tackled an event of this magnitude. I must admit that the Executive Director and several Board members were not totally convinced that an Art Auction would be right for us but they are true believers now! Our original goal, back in October, was to have the event attended by 60-100 people and to raise about $5,000. With your help and the gallery's foolproof plan and support, we were successful beyond our wildest imagination! According to our best estimates, we had close to 300 people in attendance and were able to raise over $25,000. Our Board of Directors was fully supportive and helped to make the silent auction portion of the evening a rousing success. Their feedback has been positive about the gallery and the entire evening. We held a debriefing meeting last week with many of our committee members and discussed in depth everything about the process and the event itself. We certainly learned a lot and made many notes for future reference (things we'd like to keep and things we'd like to change). All in all the sentiment was unanimous that the gallery's knowledge and support was helpful and much appreciated. | TESTIMONIAL Now that the holidays are over and I finally have the time to tally the art auction numbers, assess the hours spent in committee, and write letters to everyone else involved, it seems appropriate to write you. A simple thank you is hardly adequate. You were the cheerleader of this event. Impressive work for a guy I never met until a scant few hours before the auction. You got everyone excited, even Eleanor, and we all put on a great show! I keep hearing what a fantastic time everyone had, even people who didn’t buy anything tell me this. We’ll get them next time. Our final profit is just a hair over $7000 and that’s great for a first time. If the Board decides to go forward with consecutive years (and I'm pushing for it) I’m sure we can double that, because now I know what I’m doing. If not, I look forward to working with you in 2006. | TESTIMONIAL On behalf of the Melissa Society, I want to thank you for all of your help and support before and during our art auction fundraiser. We had our first meeting last Wednesday and I heard only wonderful things about the auction. I think everyone was pleasantly surprised at the quality of your art, and at how much fun they had during the auction. I think the general thought before the auction was that it was going to be "stuffy" and "very serious" and something that they would not fit into, but everyone who came realized that that couldn’t have been further from the truth, thanks to you. Although we started out slowly with bidders, I hope you will agree that the event was a huge success for us. Most of the women in the club never dreamed we would raise over $10,000! Now, we just have to spend it, which won't be hard at all. Our alter is in much need of repair. Your encouragement of the ad book and advice about ticked prices was so important. I am so impressed at your honesty and support regarding those two parts of the fundraising, even though Ross Galleries didn’t benefit financially from either of them. We wouldn’t have been nearly as successful if you hadn’t strongly advised us about the ad book. Also, the quality of the tickets, invitations, flyers, posters, program and ad book, etc. was wonderful. | TESTIMONIAL Saturday evening April 23rd, the Lions Club hosted our very first Live Art Auction that AJRoss Auctions performed. It was an overwhelming success for our club. Our club is always looking for new themes and ideas for fundraiser's to benefit Massachusetts Lion Eye Research and local charities, looks like we found a winner.
